Here are the key dates and milestones for the Fall 2022 grantmaking cycle:
August 8th: 1st round application released
September 1st at 11:59 pm EST: 1st round application submissions due
September 7th: Finalist grantees invited to 2nd round application
September 30th at 11:59 pm: Final round full applications due
November 19th: Grantees selected & announced
Mid-December: Grant agreements issued and funds distributed

Interested in becoming a 1Philadelphia Funder or Industry Partner?
1Philadelphia funds nonprofit organizations that are making an impact and increasing the number of underrepresented* individuals finding tech & innovation careers or leading venture capital-backed tech and innovation-driven startups.
You can apply for funding as an emerging or an established organization:
In order to receive funding from 1Philadelphia, you must be a 1Philadelphia member organization. To become a member, interested parties must complete the 1Philadelphia Membership Pledge. Membership is free of charge.
1Philadelphia supports Philadelphia-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations or those with a fiscal sponsor. In order to receive funding, organizations must address equity in tech.
1Philadelphia DOES NOT fund:
- Individuals
- Political candidates or parties
- Capital campaigns, building construction, or equipment
- Scholarships
- Startups looking to raise venture capital
- Re-granting organizations, foundations, family trusts, or endowment funds
- Programs that require a particular religious background or commitment for participation

Eligibility
*For the purposes of 1Philadelphia, ‘underrepresented’ is defined as individuals who identify as Black/African-American, Hispanic/Latinx, Native American, Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander, LGTBQIA+, US Military veteran, disabled, female, or gender non-conforming.
Emerging Organizations
Emerging organizations (that have a current fiscal year operating budget less than $300,000 AND are less than 5 years old) can apply for $5,000 - 25,000.
Established Organizations
Established organizations (that have a fiscal year operating budget of more than $300,000 AND have been operating for more than 5 years) can apply for $25,000 - 75,000.
Emerging Organizations
Emerging organizations (that have a current fiscal year operating budget less than $300,000 AND are less than 5 years old) can apply for $5,000 - 25,000.
